Mallam Ribadu is ACN presidential flag bearer for April election

Former chair of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu has emerge ACN presidential candidate after contenders Attahiru Bafarawa former Governor of Sokoto State and Nasarawa State-born Mallam Seidu Malami withdrew their bid. The election held at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos Friday saw all the delegates answered yes in a voice vote to determine their support for Ribadu.

In his acceptance speech, Ribadu said Nigeria needs a generation shift in its choice of president in the April election. He said the ruling party had failed the country and it could no longer be trusted.

Dignitaries at the convention include the ACN national chairman, Chief Bisi Akande, former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, former Anambra State Governor, Chris Ngige, Oluremi Tinubu, a senatorial aspirant and wife of Bola Tinubu, former Governor of Ogun and Ekiti States, Segun Osoba and Niyi Adebayo, National Publicity Secretary of ACN, Lai Mohammed, among others.
